5th Birthday Celebration @ School

Pre-birthday celebration @ school!

My choice of theme - Princess!

By right, we K1 kids are going to present our project - "Chocolates" to all K1 parents the next day. But I will be giving the presentation a miss since I will be leaving for Korea tonight. Hence, Daddy and Mummy could only browse through the notice board for my works.

All 3 of us left the school and headed home for last minute packing. Korea! We are coming!!!

Mid-Autumn Festive 2012

22 September 2012

Nowadays the adults are into healthy lifestyle. They will organize badminton session on weekly basis whenever possible. While the adults are in their badminton session, we kids walk around with our lanterns in celebration for early mid-autumn festival.

23 September 2012

It is another year of lantern-making competition held by my school! It is always the same criteria (i.e. using recycle materials). Mummy said she has ran out of ideas and asked Daddy for help. But lazy Daddy asked Mummy to help out this last time and he will help next year. Blah! We shall see!

Mummy went around the house to find as many materials as she can. These were her collections:
- Small Kelloggs coco pops/corn flakes box (3 boxes)
- Egg tray
- Toilet roll

Seriously, that's all we can find around the house and what can we do huh?!

With no idea in mind, Mummy just went ahead and cut up the Kelloggs coco pops boxes since there were 2 similar designs. After cutting them, Mummy guided me to draw stars on it using a stencil. After that, Mummy cut out the stars using a penknife. She also cut out 1 square at the side for each of the box.

Next, Mummy cut up a plastic bag and I helped to paste it over the cut-out areas using glue. We glued up the 2 boxes and it formed a square box. Up to this point, it was already late and I had to turn in as I have school the next day. So, I headed to my cozy bed and left Mummy alone to finish up the product! LOL!

24 September 2012

I woke up and eagerly asked Mummy for the lantern. When Mummy brought out the lantern, I gave a big WOW! It was very nicely done and I even assured Mummy that we will win a prize home! Hehehe!

Mummy said in order to get the soft drink can, she was made to drink the cold beverage at 12 midnight! LOL!

Celebrating mid-autumn festival in school.

Disappointed that our lantern did not win any prize. :(
Nevertheless, I enjoyed eating mooncakes at school. :D

Shrian's 1st Birthday

Time flies soooo fast! My youngest cousin Shrian is turning ONE! Mummy has great involvement in organising his birthday party. She took care of all the party decorations and give-aways for guests.

Mummy sent me to my phonics class in the morning, then headed to the party shop to inflate all the balloons with helium gas. After my class and lunch, we went to collect the balloons and waited for Ukker Sonny to come and fetch us. Unfortunately, Ukker Sonny's car boot was fully packed and so Yee Yee came up with this idea to transport the balloons to the party venue.

TALANG!!!

Every one/car that we passed by, could not bear to give that grin on their face. LOL!

By the time we reached the venue, we realised that 4 balloons were gone! Out of the four missing, 2 balloons were the biggest and also the most expensive ones. Boohoo!!! :(

Upon reaching the venue, we started getting busy putting up all the decorations.
I helped to pump air into the balloons and Ah Mah helped to tie up the balloons in a bundle.

When some of the guests arrived, I took Mummy's camera and went around snapping. Hahaha!
After that, I went to play catching with the boys.

All the candid shots.
May my little cousin Shrian be blessed with good health, intelligence and kindness always. :)

August 2012 Affair

5 August 2012 ~ 姑丈's Birthday Celebration

大姑 planned a birthday surprise for 姑丈 and I am honoured to be invited. Hehehe!

This Sunday, I woke up early at about 8am and Mummy sent me off to 奶奶's place to wait for 大姑, 姑丈 to pick me up. As for Mummy, she had a date with Ah Gong and Ah Mah at Gardens by the Bay.

Firstly, we sent Yanting Jie Jie to her Chinese calligraphy class. While waiting, 大姑 enrolled me to this 1-time art class and I did this painting!

Nice right? :)

Rest of the day was spent on the cable car and at Sentosa. It was my 2nd cable car experience but 1st experience for both Yanting Jie Jie & Bryan. I enjoyed the day very much with the family. Thanks 大姑 and 姑丈 to include me in this memorable moments (if not, I would have to follow Mummy to the boring Gardens by the Bay which I had already been there with my school weeks ago).

I shall let the pictures to do the talking.

10 August 2012 ~ Swimming Fun

I skipped school today because Mummy overslept! Oops! LOL.
As today is also a non-schooling day for all primary school children, 大姑 brought Yanting Jie Jie and I for a swim. Not only us, 大姑's friend - Auntie Magdelene also brought her 3 girls along.

Five girls here!

The girl in the centre is called Naomi. She is Yanting Jie Jie's pre-school classmate and they are now in the same primary school but in different class. The girls beside Naomi are her sisters - Melody & Charisse. Melody is of the same age as me and very likely we will become schoolmates since my folks are aiming at Yanting Jie Jie's school which they have already started doing parent volunteer works at the school.

Mummy & the girls!

12 August 2012 ~ Cycling @ Paris Ris Farmway

Daddy brought the whole family to Pasir Ris farmway for strolling/cycling. It was indeed nice scenery.

The night before, I stayed over at 大姑's place. Here's me in Yanting Jie Jie's clothes. Hee.

15 August 2012 ~ Sports Day

It was our school's annual Sports Day. Ah Mah & Mummy came to support me. Surprisingly, Yee Yee turned up at the event shortly with Shrian.

Here's me and Phoebe.

Everyone was a winner. I got back with a pack of snack and Barbie doll wallet! :)

27 August 2012 ~ Trip to Chocolate Factory

My school started a Project Learning for K1 and K2. The purpose of the project is to allow us to learn in depth on a chosen topic over a period of 6-8 weeks. Topic chosen for us K1 is "Chocolate". As part of the learning, we got to make a trip to a chocolate factory.

I made and brought home the chocolates and shared with my family.

Last thing to add before ending this August entry is that I will be going to Korea for an autumn holiday with my folks in October! Yes, it will be my birthday treat as promised by them. Finally I get to travel in a plane! Yeah!!!

July 2012 Affairs

14 July 2012 ~ Pre-NDP Activity

Mummy brought me along to join Ah Mah for an RC activity. No idea what activity was that and we just went for it. The adults were given a T-shirt and were asked to change. I wanted to have a T-shirt as well but there was no kid size. The RC organiser did not want to disappoint me and gave me the adult's T-shirt in smallest size. With some knots here and there, here's how I looked in the T-shirt. LOL!

We boarded the bus which was provided by the RC. I dozed off on the journey and was woken up when we reached the destination. It was like a carnival held in a big open field. My disrupted nap made me quite cranky, Mummy had no choice but to carry me around.

Immediately, I spotted the glitter tattoo corner and I wanted to have one on my arm. Happily, I chose a cat design and waited patiently in the queue for my turn. Before long, we were asked to go back to our team by the RC organiser. *Stomped feet*

We were told to form a long line with each holding a letter. We had to raise the letter high while the song "Home" was being played. Later we realised that the letter actually presented the lyrics of the song. After 2 rounds, I got impatient and kept asking to go back to the tattoo corner. Mummy & I passed our "letters" to Ah Mah and another auntie and we quickly sneaked out of the team. Hahaha!

The tattoo corner was about to close. It was so lucky that I had a tattoo design with me already so, the Jie Jie in-charged agreed to do for me.

Very happy me!

Here's the letter forming team. Co-incidentally, there were few helicopters that flew passed us.

Waiting for our outdoor movies experience.

Just before the movie was about to start, it started to drizzle. The crowd had to shift to the sheltered area but it was at a poor viewing angle, we could not watch the show at all.

After some time, dinner was served. Quite yummy!
We queued up for the complimentary photo shoot and it took an hour plus to get hold of the developed photo. Nevertheless, it was quite nicely taken. :)

16 July 2012 ~ Movies Treat

School is closed for curriculum planning. Mummy specially took a day leave to bring me for a movie treat.

I enjoyed popcorn more than the show. Hahaha!

Thanks Mummy for the day! :)

23 July 2012 ~ Racial Harmony Celebration

Here's my outfit for this year's racial harmony celebration in school.
Don't ask me which ethnic group I am representing because I also don't know! Haa!

A pity that my flower hairclip was spoiled by my classmate. :(

28 July 2012 ~ Fireworks

Mummy & I tagged along with 大姑& family to catch fireworks at NDP preview. We stood in front of Marina Square mall and were able to catch the scene clearly.

After watching the fireworks, we walked over to Millenia Walk for our dinner.
Sometime back, Mummy got Yanting Jie Jie and I a pair of roller shoes. Yanting Jie Jie has picked up the skill and she could roll very well! As for me, I am a scary cat, afraid of falling down and has not pick up the skill until now.
After dinner, Yanting Jie Jie "rolled" around the shopping mall and I practised hard by holding tight onto Mummy's hand. After sometime, I finally could "roll", only with the aid of holding on to an adult's hand. Eh, this is considered good as I started from zero. Hehe.
